What is it?

The Incorporated Association of Organists Benevolent Fund (IAOBF) exists to help organists and their dependents when they are in need. Most will have given voluntary or virtually unpaid service to churches for many years and need help in retirement. The Fund is able to give them regular payments or single grants. History

The IAOBF is an independent charitable trust, founded in 1930 by Sir Hamilton Harty, then conductor of the Hallé Orchestra. Since then, it has helped many organists, their widows and dependants, and it still continues to do so.
